Baby Changing Cabinet
I wanted to create an heirloom piece for my baby grand daughter and thought that a changing table would be perfect. Her mom agreed and designed this practical, multi-function cabinet. It is designed to fit into a very specific spot in the nursery between two built-in units, which I also built with the help of my daughter. The idea was that since the baby will not need changing for long, the unit would be re-purposed into a small chest of drawers as she grows. The design was intended to fit the "vibe" of the old farmhouse where it would reside. It features solid oak construction, Blum soft-close drawer rails, and some interesting routered-out drawer pulls.
